For the past few months, the topic for my very first blog posting was weighing at the back of my mind and then it finally came to me: A dedication to friends of past, present and future.

Funny how things turn out some times... I just heard from my two wonderful, lovely, intelligent, feisty friends that I met in a math class in the 7th grade so many moons ago. We were friends throughout those awkward years, through the angst ridden high school years (aka Michael), tragedy, the party induced college years, marriages, relocations and even now in our 30s. I truly feel blessed and enriched for having them in my life, even though there were times when we didn't speak for months at a time. They helped me become a better person without realizing it, just because they accepted me for me... Laura with flaws, assests, humor, and a touch of selfishness at times. Thank you, K and L, for being you. L, the low level competition I felt toward you, has helped me push past insecurities and reach for higher goals. Your intelligence and wit has kept me on unfailingly on my toes. K, your endless patience, kindness and generosity has been a milestone for me to work toward time and time again.

A, your strength (you have more than you give yourself credit for), quirky sense of humor, and accepting me into your family when I felt I had none granted me a longer, happier life. Thank you for inviting me into your family, it means the world to me.

Okay, enough of the mush... time for the commentaries. =)
